MMOs

Man, I really need to play more Star Wars. :\ I used a different password than usual and now I can't remember it and I'm having trouble getting it sent to my email...*sigh* Although for the last few days I've been completely enamored with The Secret World, which is like someone took Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural and crammed them into an MMORPG. 8D It's delightful. There are horror elements and steampunk elements and fantasy elements and sci-fi elements...IT'S SO DREAMY!!!

This is the launch trailer. I might have spent $30 on the game on the strength of this video and 2 good reviews alone. Totally worth it. No subscription fee FTW.

Also a friend at work loaned me Dragon Age: Origins for my PS3, so that's been sucking up a few hours here and there too. XD I'm planning on playing a LOT of games next week since I'll be on vacation time from work. And thank the gods for that.

So I actually called the vet today about putting down Boo, but when I told D about it, he said let's put a hold on it.

Sigh!

I don't want to put her down. She looks sick but she is pretty active (I found her on top of the fridge today when I got home this afternoon, but no surprises up there. Just a small bomb on the floor.)

So, it is a waiting game now. :-(

Summary: Milton experiences the effects of exposure to Guardian Gas

Yussef and Althea had found materials to construct a make-shift stretcher and after Althea had stabilized Milton’s broken leg they loaded him on it and returned to the room the group had turned into their base camp. Gabby held his tiny, limp hand the entire way back, worry evident on her face. They set up shifts to watch him through the day and night since nobody knew what to expect next.

Milton had been unconscious for three hours before he stirred and then, that little bit of stir and a faint moan was all they saw or heard out of him the first night. Althea stayed up with him the longest, taking advantage of his state to tend to the wounds he suffered in the fall through the stairs. She was also able to treat the burns on his face where the gas had made contact with his skin. It was odd that his skin elsewhere showed no similar injuries and she thought maybe it had something to do with the way the gas mingled with the moisture of his breath under the mask, or maybe the chemicals used to make it. All she had was conjecture, so she treated it like any other chemical burn and hoped the scarring wouldn’t be too bad or disfiguring.

The following day, Milton opened his eyes, blinking them like a newborn. There was no expression, no recognition. They couldn’t even tell if he was seeing anything. There was some slight movement of his left hand, and the one time his broken leg twitched, a fleeting expression of pain crossed his face. They extended their watch schedule and continued to do what they could to keep him comfortable.

I am so very tired of Republicans bitching about Obama "not accomplishing anything" while in office, while at the same time doing everything they can to keep him from accomplishing something. I'll ignore the whole part of this rant listing what has been accomplished and get to the point that set me off today. The House voted for the 37th time to repeal the Affordable Health Care for America act. You read that right. In case you were wondering what they are doing up there besides bitching.... This is what they are wasting our tax dollars on. Now whether you agree with the act or "hate Obamacare," surely you can see what a huge waste of time and money this is. They already know it won't pass the Senate, so why? If they aren't turning everything they perceive as a possible scandal into a circus, they are wasting tax dollars on shit like this, and then turning around and telling the tax payers of the country how much liberals want to blow their money for them. I'm tired of it. This is not junior high. Look around you. The majority of Americans wanted this. We are the last industrial nation to accomplish this. Work with it and stop acting like children. Show us what you have and can do instead of trying to distract us with b.s. so we won't see you are worthless. 37 fricking times. Ridiculous.

Oh dear ghods, this is my new favorite bird, by far.

~~~
This is just so weird. Y'know what would be even weirder? If each of them was actually shaking the other's hand *in* each of those pictures.
~~~

Who knew there were more reasons to adore George Takei?.

~~~
Solar system embroidery from 1811. Oooooohhhhhh..
~~~

And now, I'm goin' out to play. And read, and water things and hopefully shape the knot of bushes in front of the house. I'll let you know if the pollen makes my head explode. Or Jeff will. :D

Noël is having a tough day. Nothing I do can make her better so I have to give her drugs to calm her down. Poor girl.

Have a great day!

Hey, guys!
How are you? :)

I was MIA for a while. And I've been mostly lurking when I'm on LJ.
LJ & my flist don't seem as active any more, sadly. Has the fandom migrated somewhere else? DW maybe?

There were posts I wanted to make so I could squee (Iron Man III) or rant (Star Trek).
But it's the Elementary finale that's getting me to finally make a post!

Spoilers for 1x23 & 1x24.Collapse )
